VÍTÁME VÁS!

Hello, visitors and
dobrý den!

Thank you if you attended our annual Czech-Slovak Folklore Festival in 2017.

We hope you enjoyed your day, the delicious food, the many Czech-Slovak vendors who offered their quality and creative items, the fantastic kolace bake sale, not to mention the always popular accordion jamboree featuring some of the greatest accordion talent in our area.

We are happy to say that our 2018 Festival will be at a new, larger location. Please join us on Sunday, April 29, at the St. Nicholas Community Center, 5050 Harrison Street in Omaha. We thank Eddie's Catering and their wonderful service over the past few years at the Millard Social Hall. The new venue will allow us additional seating space and much more room to accommodate our vendors and other activities.

We will crown our 2018-19 Omaha Czech Cultural Club queen. We are all proud of the many contributions our former queens have made to our organization and look forward to the opportunity to have our new queen represent the OCCC. We know that she and her court will promote our culture in many creative and responsible ways. Royalty from our Nebraska Czech Chapters will be present to welcome our new queen and to add to our festivities.

The Omaha International Folk Dancers in their colorful costumes will keep everyone entertained and tapping their toes while they perform lively dances from several countries.

The Southeast Nebraska Bohemian Bagpipe Band, familiar to so many of us, will entertain everyone with their unique presentation of interesting Czech/Slovak instruments and songs.

We will close out the day with dancing to the Jim Kucera Band. They have performed their lively polka music at many midwest ethnic events. For more information about the them, visit their FaceBook page: Jim Kucera Band.

For more detailed information, please see our flier on our Festival page. We hope to see you there!
